Amy is a mom and a wife. She has two boys, aged 18 and 21 who have taught her so many lessons and continues to do so every day. She is very optimistic and sees the good in everyone and everything. She bounces from one activity to another, often relying on her faith and her husband to be her compass. She lives in a fun and adventurous house with dogs and reptiles with never a dull moment. Amy loves being in nature, engaging in yoga and meditation. She also loves learning about essential oils and herbs.
As an occupational therapist, Amy started her career in mental health and then transitioned to pediatrics. She began in clinics and transitioned to Early Intervention providing services in homes and day care settings. Amy absolutely loves her current role as a pediatric Early Intervention Specialist because she has the privilege of empowering parents to empower their children to become independent. She is passionate and strives to help families advocate for their children by giving them the tools they need to promote their child’s development and adaptability.
To support Amy’s ultimate goal, she recently became a Certified Forest School teacher. Amy’s wish for Evolve Nature Therapy is to provide families with children of all abilities opportunities to grow in nature. It is Amy’s hope that Evolve Nature Therapy will create a community of healthy, joyful, grounded, and energetic children. Children who are free to learn and take risks while growing up to be the best versions of themselves in sensory enriched environments.
